01. About Horizon Scientific

Founded in 1994, Horizon Scientific, a Standex International Company, is known as a leader in the North American medical, pharmaceutical, and laboratory refrigeration industries. Located in Summerville, Horizon was praised by South Carolina Governor, Henry McMaster during the pandemic because of their ability to expand operations to manufacture ultra-cold freezers necessary to store Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.

Horizon needed a sophisticated, reliable Quality Management System (QMS) that utilized their existing Office 365 applications. Given FDA requirements, QMS implementation would be necessary in order to manufacture their new line of medical refrigeration equipment.
